Create a Story

A Story is a place where you can build and share dashboards.

Good to know: What you can do in a Storyis extremely powerful, but more on this later. In this page, we'll focus on building your first dashboard.

To create a new story:

  • In the Home page or on the side bar, click on Stories
  • Then click on the "+" button in the top right-hand corner
  • Please enter the name of your Story, for example, Sales Metrics

Import data to your Story

Right now, your Story has no data in it. Let's add some!

  • Go to the Transformations tab
  • Then click on the "+" button in the left panel
  • You can then add tables from your Data warehouse or even upload flat files (csv or Excel)

Create your first Chart

To create your first chart, simply choose the columns data and then choose one of the suggested charts. For example:

  • Choose one Number column and one Categorical column
  • Choose the barchart

Congrats! You've created your first dashboard. You can now share it and start exploring your data to build other metrics.
